Our story... 

Modern Love started in March of 2020 operating as a booth at The Tin Chicken Antique Mall in Ponoka, a town about one hour north of Edmonton, selling Mid Century Modern Housewares, Décor and Furniture..  I wish I could say we got off to a great start, but shortly after opening,  Covid hit and next thing you knew stores were forced to close down.  Later that summer when restrictions were eased and retail could open, things started to really pick up for us.  So much so we expanded into a second booth.

We continued to operate in Ponoka until fall of 2021 when it was time to look to for a bigger market.  We closed our booth at the Tin Chicken and began our search for a commercial space in Edmonton in order to become a full fledged store, where we could focus more on selling furniture.

We obtained our space just south of Whyte Ave on Calgary Trail and opened in Edmonton on December 11, 2021.

Our love of all things Mid Century Modern has inspired us to try to bring Edmonton quality product at a reasonable price point.
